چکیده
Background Women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have a higher risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs) including preterm birth (PB) and low weight (LBW) [1]. These APOs are revealed to be related uncontrolled disease activity during [2]. Currently, state (LLDAS), which is comprehensive index, suggested the treatment target control damage accumulation. However, it controversial whether achieving LLDAS can sufficient therapeutic prevent APOs. Objectives We analyze factors PB LBW in SLE patients or without at conception. Methods used data of who been treated planning from single center cohort. divided into achieved group non-achieved group, evaluated rate outcomes, especially weight. also analyzed agents (glucocorticoid use their doses), serum immunological parameters (C3, C4, CH50 levels titer anti-dsDNA antibody). Results In 66 pregnancies complicated SLE, 42 cases (63.6%) conception, while other 24 (36.4%) did not. Table 1 showed by separately attained not-achieved group. As PB, mean glucocorticoid dose became factor both not-attained (P=0.02 0.01). addition, only that not achieve LLDAS, C3 were associated PB. On hand, use, dose, identified as addition (P=0.04, <0.01, 0.02, 0.045). None these achievement. 1. Maternal Periodontal Disease as a Potential Risk Factor for Preterm Birth and Low Birth Weight
Background and Aim: Periodontal disease may cause adverse pregnancy outcomes such as low birth weight (LBW) or preterm birth (PTB). In the present study, mothers with one of these two delivery complications were analyzed regarding presence/absence of periodontal disease as a possible risk factor in comparison with related medical risk factors. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectiona...

Background: The prevalence of low birth weight (LBW) has been estimated at 15.5%, and approximately 15 million preterm births (PTB) occur across the world. These rates have been reported to be 9% and 9.2% in Iran, respectively. Objectives: The present study aimed to assess the prevalence of LBW and PTB and compare their influential factors in Zanjan province, Iran during 2014-2016. Methods: T...
متن کاملMaternal Risk Factors Associated with Low Birth Weight
Background and purpose: Since a large proportion of fetal mortality is associated with low birth weight (LBW) and considering the fact that fetal development is a vulnerable process influenced by maternal risk factors, this study examined some maternal risk factors associated with LBW infants. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted based on the medical records o...
